After long pondering, I see why the majority of creatives are depressed. Whether in contents or vessels, society in general is not ready for the effects of this paradigm shift and the sentiment around it.

The anti-AI and pro-AI discourse is a huge mental fallacy model for today’s world, making you prone to getting manipulated by both doomers and evangelists.

There should be a spectrum that gives clarity to nuance. For example, awareness of the current state of advancement, paired with one’s level of tech literacy, can help position oneself as an optimist or pessimist.

The most dangerous side is near-zero tech illiteracy. AI is everywhere, but the courage to understand it on a technical level is absent. It can be as simple as trying to train a tiny model on your own laptop, even if the result is dumb (it takes only a day to learn and try such a thing).

The endpoint is demystification. The rest comes down to cogsec and integrity; they are the only way through in this era if you want to exist and thrive on the open internet. There’s no other way.

Cogsec strengthens the ability to focus on your own terms and unlocks the skill to prevent bad things and ignore something that doesn’t really matter, so it doesn’t sicken you. And integrity—well, a goated human virtue. Learn it before your worldview starts swelling into an abyss.

Hope for beautiful minds for the world to be wonderful~
