I just try to change my consumption into a curation habit.

After I get trapped for quite a long time in a specific internet hivemind, I have to figure out what’s going on with my taste.

I have a realization a week ago about how out of scope yet hugely important taste is in this massive internet junkyard. And once I introspect on my feeling after existing here for a while, how dull it was, like corroded rocks, I have little regret exchanging taste for cheap, even nothing.

Not about visual art in general, but about almost everything, including your choices, tools, tech stack, content, decisions, how you word your thoughts, how you act, how you process, how you express, it’s about how you define what is beauty and what is ugly.

In a world of slop, we better protect and refine our taste, seriously filter our attention, lest we lose ourselves.
