Fyi, now I don’t know how many likes I get, and I don’t know how many views I get, I don’t know how many of you followed me, I just remove them (even in notifications). All I know is when someone replies to me or mentions me. I mute so many accounts, including my oomfs who didn’t vibe match, sorry.
I’m operating through my list instead of the “for you” and “following” tabs. Besides that, I have another account just to curate my content consumption.
Gonna do that for a while, sync across my devices. Deadly curious and yearning for a calm internet, and that’s my effort to take back my peace of mind and agency (sense of self-control).
I love the possibilities x.com has to offer, but I don’t like the default at all. No matter how profoundly I pin down exactly how bad it is for the human psyche, this platform is still nuts at capturing the crazy state of the world. That’s exactly why it is interesting place to exist, other places is simply boring or fake to me.
