Now it’s seems hard to compete with Obsidian, especially with its File Over App philosophy, and its unique users community economy system, and the new feature base.
After four consecutive years using it, for personal use like my entirety, oh, I can confidently eliminate Notion from now on.
If you detach Obsidian from the second brain, wasting time organizing optimizing freak etc, and use your first brain instead, you will view Obsidian as reflective app.
You can forking hundred of already deployed plugins, or code your own, automate almost everything for your own need. The more you use Obsidian blindly, the more you get to know yourself.
Obsidian is not here forever, there will be a new, better tool, especially in this new paradigm of tokenized AI. Still Obsidian ideology is self sustain for digital literacy and privacy enthusiasts, which is hard to break.
Just don’t join the productivity cult, so many wrong reason to use Obsidian in the wilderness. If you use Obsidian and overwhelmed, you’re simply use it wrong.
Just have fun with your model, style, and your life…
what a beautiful piece of software <3
