This month continues my obsession with refactoring my system from scratch with Linux + Nix paradigm. I’m obsessed af, forget the day, forget the sun. Being unemployed gives me the power and energy to learn alien things.
Switching to a deep Linux trench and NixOS from Windows is not recommended for any normal person who has a life. But I simply won’t give up. I have experience with Linux in my childhood and teenage years, so it feels nostalgic to me, making me more and more craving for building my pretty system that resonates “waow, that’s literally me.”
Switching to Linux taught me a better system approach, simply by giving me file naming conventions. In Windows, I realized I was trapped in bad system habits and stockholm syndrome. So yeah, trashed Windows downfall never been so good.
This month, I’m ricing Linux with an unholy amount of tinker: desktop environments, custom window managers, from retro to modern, finding what fits and is ideal for my needs.
The best part is finishing the Rinascita main quest in Wuthering Waves. The story is absolute cinema. And yes, I’ve been playing on NixOS the entire month :D
Somehow I shared my thoughts on Xitter and went a bit viral, venting my thoughts as a story is simply fun, and the response from the internet goblins is kinda stinky and funny to me.
What a nerd month XD
